Description 

MATERIAL:

Coarsely ground, dry corn in water.

PROBLEM:

Fine grind 30% by weight corn slurry.  Minimize germ breakage.

RESULTS:

 Mixing and coarse grinding acceptable.  Germ breakage acceptable (minor).  At 30 gpm feed rate, Dicon operated at 50% of rated power.

AB MIXER:

Model 3 x 1.5 toothed impeller/liner, 7.5 HP, 3600 RPM, full open grid.  Positive displacement pump feeding Dicon.
