MATERIAL: |
Carbomer, Water, Caustic
PROBLEM:
Dispersion of carbomer powder requires high intensity mixing that often incorporates air bubbles into the mixture. Since this gel is to be applied as an extremely thin film, even small air bubbles are unacceptable.
RESULTS:
Carbomer powders are feed into an evacuated mixing chamber where they are dispersed completely into water and then pumped out into the atmospheric receiving vessel. A smooth, lump free and AIR FREE gel is produced.

AB MIXER:
Model D-6000 VACUUM Dispershear.
EQUIPMENT REPLACED: |
High shear mixers.
BENEFITS: |
Dispershear disperses utilizing low shear and low energy input. Vacuum feature removes air from the low viscosity dispersion before the gel sets up. Product quality excellent.
