OBJECT:

Dispersion of iron oxide and titanium dioxide pigments into a foundation base for various skin shades. 

PROBLEM:

Full color development of each pigment necessary for correct shading.

RESULT:

Down-mode draws in powders and quickly exerts high shear forces to de-agglomerate all pigments to primary particle size.

AB MIXER:

C-1 production mixer, 33" immersion, 3-7/8" rotor and 5 HP motor.  Used in a 50 gallon kettle.  

BENEFITS: Complete dispersion provides reproduceable color shades.  Full color development of pigment gives greatest value - - lowers expensive raw material costs.

EQUIPMENT REPLACED:

Gifford-Wood and Sonic Homogenizer.
