OBJECT: |
Disperse ceramic colored glaze powders into water to coat large electric power line insulators.
PROBLEM:
Ceramic powders must be fully dispersed requiring high shear mixing, but ceramics are hard enough to cause abrasive wear on stainless steel surfaces of rotor and stator. |
RESULT:
Excellent dispersion below 25 microns in 100, 200 and 300 gallon batches. |
AB MIXER:
Model C-2-1 https://www.arde-barinco.com/Model-C-2-1-33-Immersion--C224.aspx and C-2-3 https://www.arde-barinco.com/Model-C-2-3-60-Immersion--C241.aspx Reversible Homogenizers equipped with abrasion resistant packages including 17-4 PH hardened rotor, stellite bearing and protective shaft sleeve and cover nut to protect shaft end threads.
Benefit: |
Excellent dispersion in shortest time with long (MTBM) maintenance interval. |
EQUIPMENT REPLACED:
High speed disperser mixers that required higher horsepower, longer mix times and lost impellers due to abrasive wear. |
