OBJECT:

Dissolve 4” diameter by 3 foot long extruded rubber/talc “pigs” into hot oil – a heavy paraffinic distillate/polyisobutene. Rubber is an isobutylene/isoprene elastomer.

Size of rubber slabs preclude standard batch mixing methods.

Force feed rubber with progressive cavity pump into eye of 6 x 3 Dicon impeller as hot oil is recirculated through Dicon and gear pump in series.
