ARDE Barinco, Inc., an American manufacturer and distributor of unique high capability mixing, wet grinding, and dispersion equipment is proud to announce the availability of the 7,200 RPM Model 1020 Cavitron in-line homogenizer. The Cavitron utilizes four successfully increasing sets of pumping and stationary chambers that produce instantaneous episodes of cavitation. The cavitation results from a localized pressurization at 150 psig and then a subsequent release of pressure to the ambient level. This produces the cavitational episodes that propagates the extremely high shear forces necessary to produce fine grain emulsions and dispersions. The Model 1020 Cavitron utilizes an outer rotor/stator combination that utilizes over 5,000 precision drilled openings that are only 500 microns in diameter. The combination of these final chamber/rotor pairs produce over 500 million cavitational episodes per second. ARDE Barinco has a fully equipped laboratory in Norwood, NJ, for running trials on the Model 1020 Cavitron. In addition, rental unit are available for testing at plant facilities.
