RUBBER CONSTRUCTION ADHESIVE
Description
OBJECT:
To improve uniformity of viscosity of solvated rubber adhesive.
PROBLEM: 100 HP HSD (high speed disperser) produced a viscosity range not uniform enough.
RESULT:
Product required reworking with additional solvent (Acetone). Percent solids dissolved at required viscosity suffered.
AB MIXER:
Model C-3-2 installed with high speed disperser made available higher shear rate.
EQUIPMENT REPLACED:
Existing HSD required ½ speed. Energy saving!
