Description
OBJECT:
Predisperse 50% by weight Dimethyl Urea (flakes up to 1/4″ – LINURON) in water/0.5% VEEGUM for flowable herbicide.
PROBLEM: Existing process uses disperser in pre-mix tank and colloid mill to reduce particle size. Very slow and very high maintenance costs.
SOLUTIONS:
Reversible Homogenizer performed dispersion in 30% less time. Maintenance costs reduced by 90%. Did both mixing and pregrinding to minus 100 microns.
AB MIXER:
Model C-3-3 in 1,000 gallon cone bottom vessel.
EQUIPMENT REPLACED:
Sawblade disperser in pre-mix tank and colloid mill.
