CARBON CHEMICAL REACTION

Description
MATERIAL: Small friable lumps of carbon in dilute nitric acid at 150 deg. F.
PROBLEM: Remove lumps and pump product against 10 ft. of discharge head.
RESULT: Pumped and delumped slurry.
AB MIXER: Model 3 x 1.5 toothed impeller/liner, 5 HP, 3600 RPM, full open outlet. Mounted underneath 300 gallon tank.
BENEFITS: Batch processing time with propeller mixer required 6-8 hours. With Dicon recirculating to tank, processing time was reduced to 3 hours.
