DETERGENT SPRAY DRYING
Description
MATERIAL:
Detergent slurry containing 1/2″ lumps. 70% solids (sodium sulfate, soda ash, sodium chloride plus actives) in water.
PROBLEM:
Pump and delump detergent slurry to avoid clogging spray dryer nozzles.
RESULTS:
Smooth dispersion. 100% minus 10 mesh. Pumped 50 gpm.

EQUIPMENT REPLACED:
Fitzmill and Disintegrator.
BENEFITS: Maintenance expenses reduced. Less evaporation required in spray dryer with higher percentages solids mixture. Operates 3 shift per day, 6 day/week.
