Description
MATERIAL:
Nutmeg – whole nuts about 1″ long x 1/2-3/4″ wide.
PROBLEM:
Slurry grind to 10 mesh to avoid dust problems caused by dry grinding.
RESULTS:
Nuts easily ground to 100% minus 10 mesh by recirculating at 10 gpm.
AB MIXER:
Model 3 x 1.5 toothed impeller/liner, 7.5 HP, 3600 RPM, 1/8″ grid. Vertically mounted underneath tank.
BENEFITS:
Grinding whole nuts in extraction water provides excellent extraction without the dusting problems of dry grinding. Model 6 x 3 Dicon selected to avoid bridging of 1″ nuts at Dicon inlet.
