FLOCCULATES REMOVED FROM PAINT
Description
MATERIAL:
Black, alkyd resin based, let down paint. 7,300 cps. Density = 8.41 lb/gal.
PROBLEM:
Restore 7.5 Hegman by “grinding” pigment flocculates.
RESULTS:
Recirculated product at 20 gpm. Removed all flocculates. Provided clean 7.5 Hegman. Paint was smooth with desired gloss.
BENEFITS: Saved .15 per gallon. Transfer of paint to grinding area not necessary providing labor, clean-up, solvent and disposal savings.
AB MIXER:
Model 3 x 1.5 toothed impeller/liner, 5 HP, 3600 RPM, 1/8″ grid. Vertically mounted underneath tank.
EQUIPMENT REPLACED: Sandmill
