Description

OBJECT: Reduce lumps of polyethylene terphthalic resin coke in acetic acid/terphthalic acid/toluic acid below 3 mm.

PROBLEM: Slurry fills up strainers with oversized lumps. Lines need to be opened to air and operator contact.

RESULTS: Model 3 x 1.5 Dicon ran continuously for 18 months without requiring breakdown of lines to in-line basket strainer.

BENEFITS: Significant labor savings – lowered reporting of line openings (environmental).

AB MIXER: Model 3 x 1.5 Dicon with 4 KW EEXD 3,000 RPM motor and 1/8” discharge.

EQUIPMENT REPLACED: Basket strainers.
